The Orense welterweight had his base camp in Tijuana, at the Entram Gym, but has been training in Ecuador since January 4.
The Ecuadorian Michael Morales will make his debut in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) on Saturday, January 22 at the Honda Center, in Anaheim (California), in a duel of the welterweight division against the American Trevin Giles.
Morales had his base camp in Mexico, at the Entram Gym, under the guidance of mixed martial arts (MMA) coach Raúl Arvizu and physical trainer Andy Caballero, but since January 4 he has been in Ecuador finishing the camp work in the province of El Oro.
Images posted on his Instagram account on Sunday show him the Pasaje athlete training in boxing and striking on the shore of a beach. And in another post this Monday morning he is seen working out cardio.

Morales (12-0 MMA) has agreed on January 22 to climb the famous UFC cage to face a Giles (14-3-0 MMA, 5-3 UFC) who has more experience in the company and a favorable record of 5 wins and three losses.
The American intervened before at 185 pounds (middleweight), however, he agreed to drop to 170 (welterweight) to ensure the fight against the tricolor.
Morales, winner last September of a fight of the Dana White’s Contender Series program against Kazakh Nikolay Veretennikov, is part of the preliminaries of the undercard that heads the fight of Francis Ngannou against Ciryl Gane, in the heavyweight division, and the co-starring between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo at featherweight. Belts will be unified in both lawsuits.
EL UNIVERSO learned that the Ecuadorian UFC fighter will head to Las Vegas in the next few days and then head to Los Angeles, where the athletes summoned to the UFC 270 event would be based. (D)
