Cavani starts as Manchester United beat Aston Villa in FA Cup

THE Manchester United beat Aston Villa 1-0 this Monday, for the third round of the FA Cup. Striker Cavani, who was recently sought after by Corinthians, was a starter.

Manchester United’s goal came just eight minutes into the game, with midfielder Scott McTominay, after a well-aimed cross by Brazilian Fred. Douglas Luiz, who is also on the Brazilian national team’s radar, played for the Birmingham club.

Star Cristiano Ronaldo and young Jadon Sancho were not even related due to muscle problems, according to coach Ralf Rangnick.

Villa pressed for an equalizer and scored twice in the second half, but both goals were disallowed, first by VAR and then by field referees.

With this result, United face Middlesbrough in the next round of the oldest competition in the world. The Red Devils will face the Villans again on Saturday, this time for the Premier League.
