Midfielder of the National Football League (FNL) club “Veles” and ex-player of the Russian national team Dmitry Tarasov temporarily suspended his professional career. This was reported on the team’s Instagram.
The player’s decision is related to the desire to spend more time with his family on the eve of the birth of his fourth child. Tarasov thanked the Veles management for their support, adding that now he needs a pause. He stressed that he has not yet made a final decision about his future.
The 34-year-old footballer, who is the ex-husband of singer and TV presenter Olga Buzova, joined Veles in July this year. He played nine matches for the Moscow team, in which he scored one goal.
Tarasov is known for his performances for the capital FC “Moscow” and “Lokomotiv”, as well as Kazan “Rubin”. As part of the Russian national team, the midfielder played eight matches and scored one goal.
