If Radwańska succeeds in the rematch now, she will play the match winner in the next qualifying round: Dalma Galfi (Hungary, 124th WTA) – Carolina Alves (Brazil, 250th WTA).

The second Polish tennis player (155th WTA) will have a more difficult task. Her rival will be seeded with number “15” Japanese Nao Hibino (129th WTA). The tennis players have met each other this year. On January 3, in the tournament in Melbourne, the 27-year-old Japanese easily won 6: 3, 6: 0.

Hibino has advanced to the second round of the Australian Open Main Event twice in the last two years. However, she did not overcome this phase in any Grand Slam tournament. On the other hand, Kawa was eliminated in the first qualifying round in the last two tournaments in Melbourne. If the Pole defeats Hibino, in the next round she will face the winner of the match: Elisabetta Cocciaretto (Italy, 156th WTA) – Lara Arruabarrena (Spain, 220th WTA).

His rival in the fight for participation in the main tournament also got to know those who made their debut in the tournament – (168th ATP). The Pole will play against 28-year-old Briton Liam Broady (128th ATP), who is seeded tenth in the qualifying round. Broady has never played in the Australian Open Main Event before. The winner of this match will play with the better of the pair: Jeffrey John Wolf (USA, 174th ATP) – Serhiy Stachowski (Ukraine, 220th ATP).
