In one of the recent events, a woman was shot at in the Popular Bastion.
Sindy Liliberth Aveiga Villamar, 24, died last Saturday night from several gunshot wounds in block 3 of Bastión Popular, in the northwest of Guayaquil.
The National Police reported 23 violent deaths until the early hours of this Saturday in Zone 8, made up of Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón. The death of the young woman in Bastion adds to this figure, as well as the murder of a man in Samborondón.
Uniformed officers reported that the first crime was that of the 24-year-old girl. There they managed to arrest a person identified as responsible for the attack. As reported in the police report, this subject would have reached that sector in block 3 of the Popular Bastion and called the young woman to leave the house.
Residents indicated that she was attacked while she was in a vehicle talking with another man, who was also injured, but was saved because he was crouching.
Uniformed officers explained that due to the injuries in different parts of the body, the woman died at the same point and that she does not have a criminal record. Neighbors were alarmed at this violent attack.
The other case occurred in the Zona H sector, in Lomas de San Miguel, Samborondón. At 05:40 this Sunday 9.
Uniformed officers detailed that they received an alert from ECU911 at 06:00 and moved to that point. There residents stated that minutes before two subjects on board a motorcycle approached and proceeded to shoot at the citizens Paulina Chiriguayo, 21, who had a projectile brush at the height of the scalp and Kelvin Naranjo Villón, from 25, who died there.
