The championship of the bantamweight category of the Ultimate Warrior Challenge México (UWC) company will be at stake on Friday, February 25, in what will be the stellar duel of the function to be held at El Foro, the former Jai Alai Palace in Tijuana.
UWC 31 will be the first event of the professional mixed martial arts (MMA) company to have access to the general public since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

Islas explained that Cristian Quiñónez (16-3-0), who won the 135-pound sash in November 2020, signed with the UFC after winning a match on the Dana White’s Contender Series program. The native of Tlatenango de Sánchez Román, Zacatecas, conquered the title on November 13, 2020 against Erick Ruano (10-3-0) and managed to defend it on February 26, 2021 against Adonilton Matos (22-9-0).
