New facts about Djoković have leaked. A fatal misunderstanding by the Australians

The world lives on a topic that has huge problems with entering or rather staying in the country. The ATP leader of the ranking is still in the Australian immigration hotel, waiting for a final decision on his case. The Serb got there after he came to Australia to take part in. All because Djoković is probably unvaccinated, and despite his initial consent to his arrival, Australian authorities have changed their minds.

Djoković was supposed to receive a special permit, but when he showed up at the airport, he was questioned and asked to provide the evidence on the basis of which he was given. Under its law, there are three cases in which Djoković could actually apply for release from quarantine – a “serious adverse event” associated with the first dose of the vaccine, an acute medical condition or an inflammatory heart disease (in the last six months). . According to his lawyers, on December 16 he tested positive for and on that basis he was to be allowed to enter Australia without being quarantined.

Bad interpretation and misfortune ready. Is that why Djoković has problems?

More light on the matter is shed by the findings of the Australian press and published correspondence between Tennis Australia, the federation in that country, and the government’s advisory body on vaccines (ATAGI) and the minister of health. Theage.com.au said, “Tennis Australia chief Craig Tiley told the Australian Vaccine Advisory Board that the viability of the Australian Open depends on non-dual vaccinated players being allowed into the country to take participation in the tournament “.

The advisory body was due to receive this letter on November 10. Djokovic’s name does not appear in this letter. It was drawn up when the Serb applied for a visa. Tiley, on the other hand, insisted that players who had taken a single dose or who had recently had an illness be allowed to take part in the competition (no more than six months before the competition). “Treating players who fall into one of these categories is at the heart of the profitability of the Australian Open,” wrote Tiley. A clear conclusion can be drawn from this: the organizers of AO insisted that all the best tennis players could play in the tournament, because it was the most profitable for them.

As we read later in the text, such a proposal was rejected, among others by the Minister of Health. He made it clear – all players arriving in the country must be fully vaccinated. People who have been infected in the last six months will not be considered fully vaccinated. Federal authorities were due to inform Tiley twice that developing COVID-19 in the past six months would not be considered a reason someone could enter Australia without quarantine.

Nevertheless, on December 7, Tennis Australia was supposed to send the players information that the recent history of the disease was grounds for release from quarantine. How did it come about? Most likely, the government’s guidelines were misinterpreted. And this is most likely the reason for the confusion with Djokovic. It is possible that he and his camp, on the basis of these guidelines, concluded that if Djoković had tested positive in mid-December, he would be considered a recuperator and admitted to Australia without any problems.

The reality turned out to be different. His evidence was only confirmed by one doctor. In addition, materials appear on the Internet showing that at about the same time when he was supposed to be infected, Djoković participated in parties without a mask in a closed room, without adhering to the principles of social distancing. Not to mention the fact that the best tennis player in the world would have had no problems if he had been vaccinated – previously he questioned not only the validity of vaccinations, but also the existence of the coronavirus itself. And this is not the end, because he also proclaims such pseudoscientific theories as, for example, that “water molecules react to our emotions”,

Tennis Australia in a statement defends that it did not mislead the players on purpose. The information was allegedly taken from the Smart Traveler website recommended by the Australian Health Minister. The media there, however, say that at least now there is no mention of the convalescents being released from quarantine.

However, such a provision exists in the ATAGI guidelines of November 26. The problem is that it only affects citizens who live in Australia and travel between states, not those who fly into the country from outside.

An Australian court will decide Djoković’s fate. Everything should be clear next Monday, January 10th. The Australian Open starts on January 17th and will run until January 30th. Djoković has won this tournament nine times so far.
