Russian biathlete Nikita Porshnev won a silver medal in the sprint at the fourth stage of the IBU Cup in Slovakia. The correspondent of “Lenta.ru” informs about it.
The Russian athlete lost the lead in the sprint to the Norwegian biathlete Alexander Andersen. The latter managed to cover the distance in 23 minutes 16.3 seconds without a single miss on two firing lines.
Porshnev covered 10 kilometers, 21 seconds behind the Norwegian, also not allowing a single miss. The third place also went to the representative of the Russian team – Ilnaz Mukhamedzyanov.
Another Russian, Vasily Tomshin, finished sixth. The results of other members of the national team – Mikhail Pervushin (15th place), Dmitry Ivanov (22nd).
The fourth stage in Brezno-Osrblje will end on January 9th.
