Guayas signs a marcher Johana Ordóñez, who won a gold medal at the Pan American Games in Lima 2019

The Guayaquil marcher Johana Edelmira Ordóñez, 34, returns home.

After defending Azuay for more than 20 years, it now belongs to the records of the Guayas Sports Federation.

The provincial entity confirmed in its social networks that the athlete, champion in the 50 kilometers of the last Pan American Games Lima 2019, will represent the albiceleste in national tournaments and his first participation will be this Saturday, in Machala; Then he will compete, on February 5 and 6, in the South American Marching Championship, in Peru.

Ordóñez, in order to change province, from Azuay to Guayas, took advantage of what is stated in the Sports Law, where in the relevant part it allows athletes to represent the province where they reside.

The Ministry of Sports He responded favorably to the request that the athlete had made to stop competing for Azuay.

The state entity registered Ordóñez’s new address applying Article 2 of the General Regulations to the Sports, Physical Education and Recreation Law, corresponding to Free Transit, which establishes: “It is the right of athletes to represent any sports organization in the place where your new address is established. For the effect, the athlete must prove and register his / her address in the Sectorial Ministry ”.

It states that “once your registration in the new sports organization is registered, this transfer can be made only once a year.”

Valentina Centeno, Undersecretary of Development of Physical Activity of the Ministry of Sports, certified that “after reviewing the documentation sent by Ordóñez, the data was confirmed in the Sports Administration System (SAD), in which it is displayed and determines that you meet the requirements and time stipulated in the General Regulations to the Sports, Physical Education and Recreation Law ”.

The certification states that there were visits to the athlete’s new home; “Therefore, by means of a memorandum, the Zonal 8 coordinator, Carlos Moran, reported that the technical inspection visits carried out by Victor Hermida, Regional Sports Analyst of the Ministry of Sports ”.

With these supports, the Ministry of Sports certifies that Ordóñez does reside at the address that she indicated and is training in Guayas, according to the information registered in the SAD; “For this reason, the Certificate of Residence Registration (Free Transit) is issued. (D)
