The dramatic situation of Bayern. Two 16-year-olds will play with Borussia?

The Bundesliga will come back to play this weekend. The spring round will be inaugurated by the match between the German champion and Borussia Moenchengladbach on Friday. The club of one of the best players in the world, Robert Lewandowski, will join this match in a decimated line-up due to the plague of coronavirus infections.

Two 16-year-olds in the Bayern team!

On January 1, we reported that Bayern was forced to change its preparation plans due to the detection of coronavirus infections. A few days later, the team was joined by excellent winger Leroy Sane, three main defenders: Lucas Hernandez, Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano, and reserve defender Tanguy Nianzou. In addition, Sarr and Eric Choupo-Moting, who went to the African Nations Cup, are not in the club, and the performances of Leon Goretzka and Josip Stanisić, returning from an injury, are in doubt. The latter two, despite having injuries, are treated by the Bundesliga as eligible players.

There were only thirteen players in Bayern’s training on Wednesday. The club from Munich applied to the Bundesliga authorities to postpone the match, but this was rejected. As a result, Bayern had to submit two 16-year-old players to the Bundesliga. They are two helpers: Arijon Ibrahimović, for whom experts predict a bright future, and Paul Wanner.

– Our situation also has some positives – one of them is the promotion of talents. From our point of view, this is not the most unfair thing there is. Everything else that I have no influence on does not interest me – says Julian Nagelsmann, Bayern coach.

Bayern Munich is first in the league with 43 points after 17 games – nine more than the second Borussia Dortmund.
