Australian Prime Minister commented on Djokovic’s visa withdrawal

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison commented on the deprivation of the first racket of the world Novak Djokovic of the visa in his Twitter.

“Mr. Djokovic’s visa has been canceled. Rules are rules, especially when it comes to our borders. No one is above these rules, ”said Morrison. The prime minister noted that strict border policy was critical for Australia, and recalled that the death rate from coronavirus there is one of the lowest in the world.

The Australian authorities canceled Novak Djokovic’s visa because the athlete did not provide the proper evidence required to enter the country. The tennis player was going to take part in the Australian Open, which will be held from January 17 to 30.

Prior to that, Scott Morrison delivered an ultimatum to Djokovic and said that he was expecting medical confirmation from him about the prohibition to vaccinate. Otherwise, he promised to send the tennis player home.
