Actor and former mixed style fighter (MMA) Oleg Taktarov commented on the fight between compatriots Vladimir Mineev and Magomed Ismailov at the AMC Fight Nights 105 tournament in Sochi. Taktarov shared his impressions of the battle on his Instagram account.
Taktarov reacted to Mineev’s victory, stating that “I never doubted for a second either in the first or in the second round.” “February 23 is the day of men, the day of war, the day of the defender. Hope the Guard Sergeant gets the congratulations he deserves this time. <...> My congratulations!” – he wrote.
The actor later edited the post and complained that the fight ended in the third round, not the fifth. “But it would not be so valid, probably,” he stressed. The actor called the Mineev-Ismailov fight a find of the head of Fight Nights Kamil Gadzhiev. According to him, the athletes presented Hajiyev with “the best show of his career.”
Mineev knocked out Ismailov at the AMC Fight Nights 105 tournament in Sochi. The middleweight title fight ended in the third round. For Mineev, the fight was the first defense of the title. The fighter announced his desire to hold a third fight against Ismailov.
The first joint fight between the athletes took place in October 2018 and ended in a draw. In addition to this fight, 31-year-old Mineev spent 18 fights in his career, won 16 fights, and lost one. 35-year-old Ismailov fought 21 fights, of which he became the leader in 17 and the loser in three.
