Kos’s talent was born in the same place he also started jumping in Moravce. As he told the daily “Delo”, at the age of five his father took him and his brother to training. The Kos family ran the farm, and in the winter his father said that they would not help him with his work in the fields or in the forest, so they could cultivate a different local custom. Ski jumping was an ideal solution for two brothers full of energy.

He stayed in Moravce until he was twelve. Then he moved to school in Ljubljana and found a club there – Iliriya. He was trained by the 1994 world champion in flights and the medalist of the Olympic Games or the World Championships, Jaroslav Sakala. – I was lucky to find him – said Kos in an interview for “Delo”. Later, it was also run by Żiga Mandl, one of the completely unfulfilled Slovenian talents who quickly retired to work with young people. He went from scoring in the 2016 Alpen Cup series to first places in the “30” Continental Cup in 2019. He joined the Slovenian B team, and two years later he made his debut in the World Cup. Points? Three days earlier, Kos had already achieved the best result of his career in a World Cup competition – he was sixth in Oberstdorf. There, however, he lost quite a lot to the podium. Despite the bomb bombing 139.5 meters in the second round, the third one from Norway at the end of the competition had an advantage of 9.1 points over him. In Ga-Pa, on the New Year’s Day, however, it was different. He proved that those firecrackers that he had fired so far in single jumps could eventually translate into two great trials in the competition.
