UFC female fighter talks about surviving fees from fights

Brazilian mixed martial artist (MMA) Norma Dumont complained about not having enough money. Bloody Elbow reported.

Dumont will lead the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where she will face American Espen Ladd in the Octagon. Despite performing in an elite promotion, the Brazilian noted that she was close to lack of money.

“I don’t have 50 bucks to spare. I fight to survive. There are enough fees to live, to pay the bills. Many do not understand this. I have never been in good order with finances, ”she said.

“When I lived in Brazil, I didn’t think the UFC paid so little. When I was mentally translating these amounts into local reals, I did not notice it. For those based in the United States, it is not easy to live with constant expenses. Moreover, fighting is not a monthly income, ”explained Dumont.

In August, American Sheyanni Bice also noted that she did not have enough money, despite appearances in the UFC. When she received the bonus for the best fight in the promotion tournament, she couldn’t hold back her emotions.
