The mixed martial arts environment is full of controversial characters. During galas or at weigh-ins that take place right in front of them, scandals often occur. Most often, however, it is about clashes between players and verbal skirmishes. It turns out, however, that the scandal may also be caused by something completely different.
Player withdrawn from the card at the Czech gala. All because of … a tattoo
On Thursday, December 30, the Oktagon 30 gala took place in Prague. It was one of the biggest events in the Czech Republic this year. The fight card was full of stars, and one of them was 26-year-old Radek Rousal. The Czech was to face the Slovak Nikolas Krivak at the gala on Thursday. However, this clash did not take place in the end.
Just before the gala, Rousal was withdrawn from the fight card because of his … tattoo. The 26-year-old has a tattoo of Adolf Hitler on his chest, which caused great controversy. Ultimately, it was decided that the competitor would not take part in the gala.
– I grew up in a troubled community of people who got this tattoo done. I didn’t know what life was like then, I was young and this tattoo was stupid. Later, I started practicing martial arts, which led me to a completely different life and worldview. This is a tattoo I regret – this is how the 26-year-old explained in an interview with tn.nova.cz.
However, many people did not believe Rosual and consider the decision to withdraw him from the card as right. – That’s a terrible excuse. Shame on you! I will help you remove this tattoo if you don’t have the money for it. It is really reprehensible – one of the players, who was also in the Oktagon 30 gala card, replied to the 26-year-old.
