WADA: The organizers of tournaments should deal
In the World Anti -Doping Agency (WADA) spoke about the consequences for the Russian skater Kamila Valieva in case of non -return of medals taken from her for doping. It is reported by TASS.
WADA drew attention to the fact that this is a question for the organs that held the competitions in which the athlete won. They considered that you need to look at the rules of the governing bodies of the relevant competitions.
Earlier it became known that Valieva did not return the medals taken from her doping. It was noted that not one of the awards was redistributed and transferred to the athletes.
In January 2024, the sports arbitration court (CAS) disqualified Valiev for four years. In the sample of the skater from December 2021, traces of the prohibited drug Trimetazidin were discovered. She was deprived of the gold medals of the European Championship, the Russian Championship and the team of the Olympic Games – 2022 (together with the entire national team).
