Kremleva upset the IOC call to allow Russians to OI-2026 in neutral status
President of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Umar Kremlin in the Telegram channel reacted to the call of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to allow Russian athletes before selection for the games (OI) of 2026 in Italy.
Kremleva was upset that the IOC proposes to allow Russians before the competition in neutral status. “The flag and anthem for the athlete is his heart and soul. Such statements are a regular game against the background of the current situation, ”he said.
Previously, the IOC appealed to the admission of Russians to the International Biathlon Union (IBU) and the International Federation of Sports and Snowboard (FIS). The organization considered that the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, in which 15 Russians took part in a neutral status, became a successful precedent.
Russians and Belarusians do not participate in international competitions by decision of IBU and FIS. The order entered into force in March of 2022 and will act until further notice.
