The championship of Russia in skiing ended on the “cuff”

The Russian championship in skiing ended at the resort of Sberic Sberblack on February 16. The resort for the first time hosted such competitions – he gathered more than 140 best athletes from all over the country and became the ski capital of Russia.

According to the results of the races, the athletes played four sets of awards. On the first day of the competition, the slopes of the resort were conquered by the girls. More than 50 skiers fought for the title of the best. The Altai mountains brought two victories at once an eighteen -year -old athlete from Bashkiria – Tanzil Israilova, who became a two -time champion of Russia. Silver in the discipline of slalow-giant was won by Julia Pleshkova from the Kamchatka Territory. Yaroslav Popov from the Krasnoyarsk Territory also entered the three leaders.

In the discipline, the Sakhalin ski skier Rinat Kashintsev became the slalom silver medalist, and Bronze went to Yulia Melnikova from the Murmansk region.

“The Russian Championship in skiing is the most status start of the 2024/2025 season. He became a new step in the development of skiing of the entire region. “Swanok” accepted the best athletes of the country who showed the highest results on our slopes, ”said Vladimir Shcherbinin, General Director of the Manzherok resort.

Male races were no less interesting: about 80 skiers fought for victory. In the discipline of slalom-giant, the leader of the races was the athlete from Kamchatka Ivan Kuznetsov. The skier of the Kaluga region Alexander Andrienko, the third place at Nikita Alekhin from the Kamchatka Territory, passed a little longer.

In the discipline, the champion became Alexander Khoroshilov – the most titled athlete. He is the only Russian in the world that has become the winner of the stage of the World Cup in a male descent and brought Russia the first medal in skiing over the past 33 years. In the top three finalists, silver medalist Semen Efimov from the Moscow region and the winner of the bronze Pavel Trikhichev from St. Petersburg.

“Many thanks to the resort of the“ cuff ”for organizing a high level. Especially for athletes, the slope was allocated and shed it with water, which is very important. In our country, there are not many places where you can create such conditions. In addition, the resort has created excellent conditions for the development of amateur sports. “Swanoks” becomes a kind of center for mass skiing, ”said Russian champion Alexander Khoroshilov.

They began to prepare for the championship at the resort more than six months ago. In the summer, the track was updated for athletes: it was expanded by 30 percent, now its width is about 60 meters, and the length reaches two kilometers.

“The Russian Championship at the“ cuff ”demonstrated both the excellent training of the tracks for the competition and the high results of the athletes. In four days, the best skiers of Russia showed maximum results. Of great importance in this was the preparation of the slope. Today, the whole team of the championship states with confidence that in the “cuff” one of the best tracks is not only in the country, but also in the world, ”Leonid Melnikov, the President of the Russian Ski -Salting Federation, emphasized.

During the championship, the main difficulty, as the organizers note, was to achieve the desired levels of steepness and covering the slope. To prevent the track from destroyed, it was poured daily with water. A layer of ice up to 15 centimeters thickly provides maximum rigidity and retains the original structure of the route. The readiness of the slope for the competition was controlled by a special commission consisting of resort officers, coaches and judges of the competition.

“The slopes on the“ cuff ”are one of the best in the country. I liked everything very much: canvas, track, weather. Everything was gorgeous. The organization of the championship at the resort was at a high level. It is pleasant that it is here that the Russian championship is held on a site that is unique: there are no similar ones in the country, ”said Tanzil Israilova, two -time Russian champion in skiing.

At the resort for the audience, a special site was prepared at an altitude of about 650 meters. The races of the best athletes of the country could also be seen on the air of the Katun 24 television channel. The broadcasts were commented on by titled coaches, members of the national team and professional athletes. Among them are the senior coach of the Russian women’s team, Alexander Vicemnikova and the athlete of the national team of the country Vitalina Girina.

In total, at the resort in the winter season 2024/2025, more than 50 competitions are planned; For comparison, last year about 30 competitions took place on the slopes of the resort. This winter, the “cuff” has already accepted several large competitions. Sberblack’s resort was held at the Siberian Championship and the skiing, all -Russian children’s competitions “Cup of the resort“ Swanok ”. In addition, large races among fans and veterans of skiing were held at the resort. In the near future, family inclusive competitions of the interregional level will take place at the resort. In total, in the winter season 2024/2025 the resort will receive more than 3.5 thousand athletes.
