Former Russian skater Gubanova won silver at the European Championship
Former Russian skater Anastasia Gubanova, representing Georgia, won silver in women’s single skating at the European Championship of 2025 in Tallinn. This was reported by the correspondent “Lenta.ru”.
In terms of two programs, the athlete scored 198.61 points. Gold was won by the Estonian skater Nina Petrykina, whose asset has 208.18 points. The three of the strongest was closed by the Belgian Nina Pinzarron (191.44).
The Russians were not allowed to the tournament. By decision of the International Skating Union (ISU), since the spring of 2022 they have been removed from all competitions under the auspices of the organization.
Gubanova was recognized as the best athlete of Georgia according to the results of 2023. 21-year-old skater is a native of Togliatti. The Russian woman replaced sports citizenship in 2021.
