The son of Shishkova and Naumova Maxim, who was born on August 1, 2001, followed in the footsteps of his parents and became a skater. Initially, information appeared that among the passengers there were two more skaters who previously played for Russia – Annabel Morozov and Alisa Efimova. However, they later said that this was not so. Efimova said that she and her partner Misha Mitrofanov flew away after the championship on Monday, January 27. Nikolai Morozov, Father Annabel Morozov, also refuted the presence of his daughter on board.

The US figure skating Federation confirmed that there were athletes on board the fallen aircraft. “We are devastated by this terrible tragedy and worry with the families of victims.
