Ovechkin said he will attend Atlanta’s match with Miranchuk in MLS
Russian forward of the National Hockey League (NHL) club Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin said that he will attend the match of Atlanta United rookie Alexei Miranchuk in the North American Major League Soccer (MLS). His words are reported by TASS.
“I don’t have much time to watch the local football championship. Of course, if they come to us, I’ll definitely come and watch the match,” Ovechkin shared. He thought that Miranchuk would have no difficulties before starting to play in America.
Miranchuk’s transfer to Atlanta was announced on July 30. The agreement runs until the end of 2027 with an option to extend it for another year.
Last season, Miranchuk won the Europa League with Atalanta. The Russian has played for the Italian club since the summer of 2020, when he signed a 4+1 contract with the team. He spent the 2022/2023 season on loan at Torino.
