Kauldi Odriozola, Imanol Garciandia and Sergey Hernández have won the bronze medal in handball in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after win with Spain against Slovenia by 23-22 the match for third and fourth place.

The match was even from start to finish. Spain enjoyed a two-goal lead in the first half, the maximum in the first half hour, but Slovenia was able to equalise before the break. (12-12).

After the break, the Spanish team led the scoreboard for almost the entire second half, although with ten minutes to go Slovenia took the lead. (19-20). Afterwards, there were several draws. Spain entered the final minute with a one-goal lead. The last possession was Slovenia’s, but Spain defended well, and in the end the victory went to the Spanish team. (23-22).
