Triathletes Shabalina and Mislavchuk vomit after swimming in the Seine at the Olympics
Canadian triathlete Tyler Mislavchuk and Kazakhstan’s Ekaterina Shabalina vomited after swimming in the Seine at the Paris Olympics. The athlete told the Sport24 publication about the details.
“After getting hit in the head several times, I choked on water from the Seine, after which I began to feel sick for the rest of the swim. And I threw up after the first lap of the cycling stage,” Shabalina said.
Mislavchuk told a similar story in a conversation with the Daily Mail. He emphasized that he vomited 10 times.
Earlier, it was reported that US triathlete Seth Ryder stopped washing his hands after using the toilet before swimming in the Seine at the 2024 Olympics. āIām just trying to raise the threshold of infection by exposing myself to small amounts of it in my daily life,ā he said.
