Chelsea announced on Friday morning the loan of midfielder Andrey Santos, who came through the ranks at Vasco. The 20-year-old player will play for another season at Strasbourg in France.
Andrey had previously played for the French side in the latter half of the 2023/24 season. The Brazilian stood out in the team and pleased the coaching staff, led by Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira.

The young midfielder was signed by Chelsea in January 2023, after standing out for Vasco da Gama, but has yet to establish himself at the club.
Firstly, he had to be loaned to Cruz-Maltino until June last year to meet the English Championship registration requirements.
However, when he became available, he didn’t have space and was loaned to Nottingham Forest, where he also didn’t get many minutes.
Because of this, he was sent to Strasbourg at the beginning of this year. There, he returned to playing regularly and was a starter in the final stretch of 2023/24. Now, he will wear the number 8 shirt and play a full season for the team.
