Fitness trainer recommends push-up variation for beginners

Fitness trainer Roman Filippenko recommended a lighter version of push-ups that is suitable for beginners and girls. His words are quoted by “Championship”.

The expert suggested doing push-ups from the knees. He noted that similar muscle groups are involved – the pectoralis major, triceps and the anterior deltoid, but the load is reduced. In addition, the short head of the biceps, the rectus abdominis and oblique muscles, and the extensors of the spine are involved.

Filippenko also described the correct technique for performing the exercise. The starting position is to rest on your palms and knees, with your hands slightly wider than your shoulders, your knees close to each other, your feet crossed, and your knees bent. Your back should be straight and your abs tense. “As you inhale, lower your body down, bending your arms at the elbows. Your elbows move along your body. Perform the exercise until your chest lightly touches the floor or until your elbows form a right angle. As you exhale, lift your body up, straightening your arms,” the trainer explained.

Earlier, fitness trainer Irina Rotach recommended several exercises that will help you perk up in the morning. She suggested doing toe raises, side and forward bends, and side lunges.
