Russia to receive minimum points from UEFA in coefficient table at end of season
Russia will receive a minimum point from the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) in the coefficient table at the end of the 2024/2025 season, TASS reports, citing the UEFA press service.
“In accordance with the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee taken on 18 April 2024, at the end of the 2024/2025 season, Russia will be awarded 4.333 points in the association coefficient table for men and 1.750 points in the association coefficient table for women,” the statement said. It is noted that the same number of points were awarded in the two previous seasons.
On July 18, it became known that the Russian national team retained its position in the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) rankings. Valery Karpin’s team remains in 33rd place.
Russian football clubs and national teams are skipping international tournaments by decision of FIFA and UEFA. Russians are only playing friendly matches.
