Eagle FC President Zavurov on Nurmagomedov’s debts: competent people are sorting things out
Eagle FC President and relative of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov Shamil Zavurov commented on the information that the athlete has a multi-million tax debt. His words are quoted by Sport-Express.
Zavurov said that Nurmagomedov’s team pays taxes and works. “Right now, competent people are figuring out where it all started. Khabib was moving along calmly. He came home, left, there were no problems,” he said.
On May 11, Mash reported that Nurmagomedov owed the Federal Tax Service 306.2 million rubles. It was noted that the accounts of the Eagle FC fighting league and a charity fund associated with him were blocked. Enforcement proceedings were later initiated against Nurmagomedov.
Nurmagomedov defended his UFC lightweight title three times before retiring in 2020. In total, the athlete won 29 victories in 29 professional mixed martial arts fights. After finishing his career, Nurmagomedov took up coaching.
