South Korean swimmers leave Olympic village: bus feels like sauna
South Korean swimmers have left the Olympic Village, the Korea Times reports.
The athletes complained about the heat on the buses and preferred to stay in a hotel near the pool.
“It’s cooler outside than in the bus. It’s like a sauna. Usually the journey from the Olympic Village to the pool takes 40-45 minutes, but today it took us more than an hour and a half,” the athletes explained. They noted that the windows were taped up, presumably out of fear of terrorist attacks.

On July 26, at the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Paris, the announcers mixed up the Koreas. During the parade of delegations, when the South Korean team was sailing on a boat along the Seine, it was announced as the DPRK team.
The Olympic Games will last until August 11. The winners and runners-up will receive medals that contain a metal fragment taken from the Eiffel Tower.
