Meteorologists predict rain in Paris during Olympic opening ceremony
Heavy rain is expected in Paris during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. This forecast from meteorologists is cited by Sport-Express with reference to RMC Sport.
According to meteorologist Patrick Marlier, light precipitation is expected in the morning, but the weather will worsen towards the evening. “We are expecting up to 25-30 mm of precipitation. To put this into perspective, this is equivalent to 15 days of precipitation in just a few hours,” the specialist said.
The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, July 26, outdoors, on the banks of the River Seine and on the river itself. It is scheduled to begin at 19:30 local time (20:30 Moscow time).
The Games will end on August 11. Fifteen Russian athletes will compete in the competition in neutral status, seven of whom are tennis players.
