The country’s number one tennis player Daniil Medvedev will face Australia’s Rinki Hijikata. Pavel Kotov will face Switzerland’s Stanislas Wawrinka, who won three Grand Slam tournaments and the 2008 Olympics in doubles. Roman Safiullin will face Chile’s Alejandro Tabilo.
The tennis tournament at the 2024 Olympics will be held from July 27 to August 4. In addition to the men’s singles, medals will be awarded in women’s singles, women’s and men’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
Earlier it became known that the world’s number one tennis player, Italian Jannik Sinner, withdrew from the Olympics. The reason was tonsillitis in the 22-year-old tennis player.
