IOC Removes Information About 2024 Olympics Broadcasts for Russians from Its Website
Information about the planned broadcasts of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris for Russian viewers has disappeared from the website of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), RIA Novosti reports.
Previously, information appeared on the IOC website, according to which the organization planned to show the Paris Games competitions for free to spectators from Russia. This page is currently unavailable.
On July 13, the Sports.ru portal reported that Russian TV channels would not show the Olympic Games for the first time in 40 years. It was noted that the decision was due to the fact that domestic athletes would only be able to compete in the competitions as neutrals.
The Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. 15 Russians will take part in the competition. Some athletes refused to participate in the tournament, despite receiving quotas and invitations from the IOC.
