Former Flamengo midfielder Reinier is training with Real Madrid’s youth team. The Brazilian is awaiting a new loan and will not be used by coach Carlo Ancelotti this season, according to the Spanish newspaper AS.
Reinier joined Real Madrid in 2020, having been bought from Flamengo for 30 million euros. The player went straight to the Spanish team’s U-20 team, where he only played three matches. The Brazilian has never played for the Spanish capital club’s first team.

In four years under contract with Real Madrid, Reinier was loaned out three times. In 2020, he was loaned to Borussia Dortmund, where he played in 39 matches and scored one goal. He then went to Girona, but only played 18 times. Finally, he traveled to Italy to play for Frosinone. The Italian club was relegated and the Brazilian, who was not used, ended up being returned to Real Madrid.
Revealed by Flamengo, Reinier played just 15 games for the Rio de Janeiro club before moving to Real Madrid. Last season for Frosinone, the Brazilian took to the field on 23 occasions, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
