Fàbregas was the club’s assistant and interim coach during last season. With the former player’s help, Como finished the 2023/24 second division in second place with 73 points and secured promotion to the country’s top league.
Former Como boss Osian Roberts will take on the role of Head of Development, where he is tasked with creating a culture within the organisation, including coaching education and player development plans.
Fàbregas has already spoken for the first time as Como coach and is excited to take on the role of head coach for the first time in his career.
“I am very happy to start this season as head coach and I thank the ownership group for trusting me in this position. I share the group’s ambitions and believe that this is just the beginning of where this club can go. It will be a difficult and important season, but I and the rest of the coaching staff are ready and we all believe,” he said.
