The Rossoneri also revealed that he will wear the number 7. Morata arrives to replace Olivier Giroud, who left the team at the end of last season.
In addition to being Spain’s starting centre-forward during the Euros, Morata also stood out for his leadership of the squad. Only he and right-back Carvajal were over 30 years old among the starters in the Euros final, which they won 2-1 against England.
Last season, the forward played 48 games for Atlético de Madrid, scoring 21 goals and providing five assists. In total, Morata leaves the Colchoneros with 154 games, 58 goals and 14 assists. This will be the athlete’s second team in Italian football. He previously played for Juventus, from 2014 to 2016 and from 2020 to 2022.
