World Hockey Champion Canadian Maxime Comtois Becomes Dynamo Moscow Player
World hockey champion Canadian Maxime Comtois has moved to Moscow Dynamo. This was reported on the club’s website.
The agreement with the 25-year-old player is for one year. “Signing a player of such caliber is naturally aimed at strengthening our attacking line. Comtois is a star, but he is coming to the Continental Hockey League (KHL) super motivated for great achievements and victories,” said Dynamo sports director Alexei Sopin.
Comtois is the 2021 World Champion and the 2022 tournament silver medalist. As part of the Canadian junior team, the forward won the 2018 World Championship. He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Anaheim Ducks and Carolina Hurricanes.
Moscow Dynamo became the winner of the KHL regular championship of the 2023/2024 season. In 68 games, the team scored 98 points.
