Actor Oleg Taktarov said that he feels more comfortable in Russia than in the US
Mixed martial artist (MMA), film actor Oleg Taktarov compared life in the USSR, Russia and the USA. His words are quoted by “Soviet Sport”.
The athlete said that he feels most comfortable in modern Russia, as he feels free here. He emphasized that the country observes laws, which is important to him. “For me, such things, when something can be done through connections, have been disgusting since the Soviet Union,” Taktarov admitted.
Earlier, Taktarov criticized life in the United States. He called the country a homeless shelter with a large number of unemployed and drug addicts.
Taktarov is best known for his performances in the early Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournaments. He won one of them, defeating American Tank Abbott in the final of UFC 6: Clash of the Titans in 1995.
