British oncologist Peter Harper named sports that reduce the risk of cancer. His words are quoted by the Daily Mail.
The doctor said that regular moderate-to-vigorous exercise for up to 60 minutes a day can significantly reduce the risk of developing cancer. Such exercises include running, walking, swimming, cycling and playing tennis.
Harper explained that physical activity boosts the immune system, which fights cancer cells through T cells, a type of white blood cell. However, he cautioned against exercising without a break, as it weakens the immune system.
Earlier, fitness trainer Elena Belyaeva named the diseases in which it is recommended to refrain from cardio training. According to her, these are cancer, severe cardiac disorders and exacerbation of chronic diseases.
