Sergio García wins LIV Andalucía, with Rahm out of options
Basque: Sergio Garciak spoke at LIV Andaluzia txapelketa, Rahm left the door open for the news
The Spanish Sergio García lifted the LIV Andalucía this Sunday by delivering an amazing card 66 strokes (five under par) for a cumulative score of -5, which equaled the Indian Anirban Lahiriwho gave up on the second hole of the playoff despite having started the day with seven strokes less (-7) than the Castellón native. Thus, García raised his first LIV tournament almost two years after entering the Saudi circuit.
The Indian had a great opportunity to seal his victory on the last hole, where he had a shot of just half a metre to lift the title of the Cadiz course, but he missed the shot and forced the winner to be decided by a playoff, which the Spaniard ended up winning.
Meanwhile, the Bizkaia native Jon Rahm finished with 71 strokeswho was trying to recover from a bad start in which he chained two bogey which made him forget about a possible comeback. Although he started with three birdies consecutive, he failed to reach the high figures of the first two and finished four down, tied with New Zealander Danny Lee.
