Dyukov called Daka’s behavior, which insulted Serbs at Euro 2024, unacceptable
The head of the Russian Football Union (RFU) Alexander Dyukov assessed the behavior of the forward of Kazan Rubin and the Albanian national team Mirlind Daku, who insulted the Serbs at Euro 2024. His words are quoted by TASS.
He called the forward’s actions outrageous and unacceptable. “I know that Rubin is going to take action against the player,” Dyukov added.
Earlier, Daku himself spoke about his actions. “I was shocked that I was subjected to emotions and allowed myself to shout like that,” the Albanian said.
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has banned Daka for two matches of the 2024 European Championship for insulting Serbs. After a draw with Croatia, the footballer chanted nationalist and offensive chants along with the fans.
