Russian tennis player Elena Vesnina has been admitted to the 2024 Olympic Games. This was reported by Match TV.

According to the publication’s source, the 37-year-old tennis player will be able to play in the Olympics in doubles with Ekaterina Alexandrova. Vesnina is the 2016 Olympic champion in doubles and the silver medalist of the 2020 Games in mixed doubles.

Earlier, the names of six more Russian tennis players who received approval from the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and will perform in Paris were announced. The men’s team included Daniil Medvedev, Roman Safiullin and Pavel Kotov, and the women’s team included Ekaterina Alexandrova, Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schneider.

Russians and Belarusians have been admitted to the 2024 Olympics as individual neutral athletes. The competition will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
