Djokovic criticizes Wimbledon crowd

Novak Djokovic slams Wimbledon crowd for disrespecting him

Tennis player Novak Djokovic criticized the spectators at Wimbledon 2024. His interview is published on the tournament website.

Spectators in the stands began chanting the name of Denmark’s Holger Rune during the fourth-round match. Djokovic said they were showing him disrespect because it sounded like a hum. “Listen, I’ve been on tour for over 20 years, I know all these tricks, I know how it works,” the Serb said.

Djokovic thanked those spectators who showed respect and paid for tickets to watch tennis. “And to everyone who decided to show disrespect to a player, in this case to me – have a good evening! Have a good evening! You can’t hurt me,” he emphasized.

The match ended in three sets with a score of 6:3, 6:4, 6:2 in favor of Djokovic. In the quarterfinals, he will play against Australian Alex de Minaur.
