The San Sebastian Classic presents its route with new features

The organization of the Clásica San Sebastián has made the route of the 2024 edition official. The route changes again compared to previous years due to road changes and safety reasons. In this edition, the runners will have to travel 236 km6 more than last year, before crossing the finish line in Zurriola.

They will be uploaded 7 scoring ports with some surprises: Andazarate, Azkarate, Urraki, Alkiza, Jaizkibel, Erlaitz and PilotegiThe latter is a new climb that is being introduced in the Classic to replace Murgil. It is more difficult than Murgil or Bordako Tontorra with slopes of up to 27%.

There will also be two intermediate sprints, which will be located at the first crossing of the finish line and at kilometer 219.5 passing through the counter-finish line.

Departure and arrival on Zurriola Avenue

Another novelty is that The start and finish area moves to Zurriola Avenue, opposite the Kursaal Conference Centre.

In this edition The Classic coincides in date and place with the beginning of the Semana Grande from San Sebastian. As a result, the race will set up all its infrastructure in Zurriola. The winner will wear the txapela with Zurriola beach and the sea as witnesses.
