Basque: Jonathan Castroviejok Ineos team is planning to start in 2025
The Getxotian Jonathan Castroviejo6 times national time trial champion, has extended his contract with the Ineos Grenadiers until 2025as confirmed by the team during the first day of rest of the Tour de France.
The Basque cyclist will thus complete 8 seasons with the British team, where he has played a key role in multiple team successes. An expert time trialist, he is also a solid mountain rider, skills demonstrated since his arrival to the team in 2018. “I am very happy to have renewed with the team. It has been something we have been working on this year and it is good to have everything in order and clear for next season. I wanted to stay with the team and it makes me happy to know that I will be here for another year,” commented the Basque cyclist.
“Every year the level of racing increases, which means you always need to improve and it’s good to be able to do that here. This team is full of young talents and riders who have a bright future in cycling, and it’s rewarding to be here helping and advising them in any way I can,” he said.
