The Kenyan Faith Kipyegon has established a New world record for 1500 metersby winning this Sunday in the Paris meeting with a time of 3:49.04 minutes.
Kipyegon has reduced by 7 hundredths the previous world record that she herself held with a time of 3:49.11 since June 2, 2023. In addition, she has confirmed that will try to repeat the double -1500 and 5000- at the Olympic event which he already achieved last year at the World Championships in Budapest.
The athlete had not been able to come close to those marks this year, hampered by muscular problems, which had only allowed her to run this season in the Kenyan selection trials held last June.
A clear indication of what Kipyegon can do at the Olympic Games, which begin in 19 days in the French capital.
