Thus, Zaniolo returns to Italian football after a little over a year playing away from his home country. Last season, the midfielder was on loan from Galatasaray to Aston Villa. At the English club, he played 39 games, only 13 of which were as a starter, and scored three goals.
In his home country, the 25-year-old played for Roma, the club that discovered him and where he had the greatest success in his career. There, he played 128 matches, scored 24 goals and provided 18 assists.
Now, with his return to Italy, Zaniola is looking to recover his good football and be called up by his national team again.
