Goal: UEFA should fine Cristiano Ronaldo for hidden advertising at Euro 2024
Portugal national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo is under threat of punishment for hidden advertising at Euro 2024, Goal reports.
According to the former head of global sponsorship for Visa and Coca-Cola, Ricardo Fort, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) should fine Ronaldo for advertising the Whoop fitness bracelet, of which he is an ambassador.
“Fast [появившийся после встречи 1/8 финала] “is about UEFA matches, it uses the names of the two national teams, the score and the player on the pitch. They imply a connection with the event, and that is illegal,” Fort said.
The fitness device monitored Ronaldo’s heart rate during Portugal’s 0-0, 3-0 penalty win over Slovenia in the last 16 of Euro 2024. The post revealed that the forward’s heart rate dropped from 170 to 100 beats per minute before his penalty kick and rose to 180 when Bernardo Silva scored the decisive goal.
