Bakhturin’s trainer: you shouldn’t exercise outside when the temperature is above 27 degrees
Akulina Bakhturina, senior trainer of the international network of ballet and stretching studios LEVITA, gave advice to Russians on how to exercise in hot weather. She spoke about this in an interview with Lenta.ru.
The specialist recommended not to exercise outdoors when the air temperature is above 27-30 degrees Celsius. Bakhturina suggested training early in the morning or late in the evening.
The trainer also noted that it is worth considering the activity of the sun in order to avoid burns or heat stroke. She advised choosing shade for training, wearing a hat and applying protective creams to the skin.
In addition, Bakhturina emphasized the importance of monitoring your well-being. “In the heat, the load on the body increases: the pulse quickens, the body temperature rises, and blood pressure may increase. If you feel unwell, dizzy, tired, then you should stop training,” the expert said.
To replenish the water balance in the heat, the trainer recommended taking a bottle of water to the training session, drinking often and in small sips. It is also important to choose the right clothes: it should be comfortable and breathable, with mesh inserts or with UV protection.
Earlier, Russians were advised to do exercises that would help them sleep better. For this, stretching the spine while standing, forward bends, and the “table” are suitable.
