Chelsea announce star signing from Leicester City

Chelsea announced on Tuesday the signing of 25-year-old midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City. The player was a standout player for the Foxes in their Premier League title-winning campaign last season, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists.

“I am happy to be leaving the club in the Premier League, where they belong, and I wish Leicester City all the best for next season and the future. I am one of you, Leicester. But now it is my time to go…”, said the player in farewell to the club that formed him, through his social networks.

Kiernan will be reunited with Italian manager Enzo Maresca at the London club. The manager was also instrumental in Leicester’s promotion and was appointed Chelsea’s new manager for the season, replacing Mauricio Pochettino.

Chelsea paid £30 million for Dewsbury-Hall, according to the Sky Sports English. He thus became the Blues’ fourth signing of the summer, joining Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, Aston Villa midfielder Omari Kellyman and Barcelona striker Marc Guiu.
