The last Sunday of Eurocupa Spanish national team celebrated their victory with a Brazilian twist. Young forwards Nico Williams, 21, and Lamine Yamal, 16, led the comeback 4 a 1 Spain’s victory over Georgia in the round of 16 of the international competition.
As part of the celebration, they danced to a Brazilian hit from the last decade: “Eu Quero Tchu, Eu Quero Tcha”. The song, which became a national hit in 2012, was immortalized by Neymar when celebrating his 100th goal.
Marcelo Martins, the lead singer of the song, expressed his gratitude on social media. “It’s exciting to see our music crossing borders and being part of such special moments. ‘Eu Quero Tchu, Eu Quero Tcha’ is eternal,” declared the singer who has been pursuing a solo career since the end of the formation with João Lucas.
Striker Lamine Yamal even shared a verse from the song after the game, making the celebration even more special.
🪩 Dance, my children, DANCE WHAT YOU WANT.

This fusion of musical cultures and joy on the pitch demonstrates how football transcends borders and unites nations. Spain, with their victory and lively dancing, proved that Brazilian music continues to inspire and unite players from all over the world.
The Spanish national team returns to the field this Friday at 1 pm (Brasília time) to face Germany, the host of this edition of the Eurocup. The game is valid for the quarterfinals and the ball will roll at the Stuttgart Arena.
