The Federal Tax Service explained the origin of Nurmagomedov’s debt

The Federal Tax Service stated that Nurmagomedov’s debt is related to non-payment of taxes

In response to a TASS request, the Federal Tax Service (FTS) explained the origin of the debt owed by former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The department noted that this is due to non-payment of taxes, penalties and fines on income received from abroad in the period from 2019 to 2021. “This is confirmed by a decision that has entered into legal force based on the results of an on-site tax audit, which was completed back in 2023,” the Federal Tax Service said.

Earlier it became known that the Federal Tax Service had frozen Nurmagmedov’s accounts. The reason for the arrest was the athlete’s debt of more than 300 million rubles.

Nurmagomedov’s team stated that the information about tax debt is inaccurate. “Khabib continues to work on business projects and develop them,” they specified.
